About the Department
The Soil Resources & Watershed Management department was a modularized program launched by Wollega University in collaboration with Hawassa University, Mekelle University, and Aksum University in 2007. Wollega University has been annually graduating students from the department since June 2012. The department deals about sustainable management of soil, water and other natural resources at watershed, regional, national, and global scales. Graduates of Soil Resources and Watershed Management department can effectively work in the fields such as soil and water conservation, integrated watershed management, soil fertility management, land evaluation and land use planning, fertilizer analysis and recommendation, and soil analysis in the laboratory.Read More
