About the Department of Water Resources & Irrigation Management
Water Resources & Irrigation Management program was established in 2008. The aim of the program is to fulfill great demand of professionals in areas of water resource, rural water development and agricultural irrigation management based on which the program.
Mission
Water resource and irrigation management program is charged to bring academic Excellence through training & knowledge generation, dissemination as well as adoption of appropriate technologies related with irrigation water management
Vision
The severe environmental and watershed degradation, frequent drought and food shortage of the country, offer ample opportunities for research and development and certainly justify the initiation of a program of study in the water sector particularly that may facilitate the development of the irrigated agriculture, strived to find solutions to reduce pollution into natural waters and water scarcity problems, and water conflicts at local and regional levels.
Entry requirements:
Successful completion of the ten-plus-two (10 + 2) preparatory school education program and passed the University’s Entrance Examination for admission, Advanced standing placement for holders of diploma in related fields, who meet the University’s Senate Criteria for advanced standing admission, Special admission, admission as part-time students, admission for students with general certificate of education equivalent to the preparatory program.
