Our institute has been conducting B.A in Amharic, Oromo Language, English and Journalism and Communication in different modalities. Further, it has been providing M.A. in Oromo Language and Literature and in Teaching English as Forging Language (TEFL). Currently it is striving to launch PhD program me in TEFL.  Therefore, the institute welcomes all interested to contribute to the realization of its Vision.

Objective:

The general objectives of the Institute of Language Studies and Journalism emanate from the University’s. The institute aims to promote teaching and research in the Language Studies and Journalism, which stimulate intellectual curiosity, independent and critical thinking in various fields of study. The institute tries to provide its students with balanced and critical acquaintances and skills in its various fields to contribute to the development needs of the country.
