The Academic affair office at Wallaga University plays an important role in overseeing and enhancing the University’s academic programs. This office is directly accountable to the president and is vocal in planning, organization, and management of academic programs.

  • Academic program Oversight

The academic affairs vice president office has the mandate to coordinate and guide the different academic programs, such as under graduate, post-graduate, continuing and distance education. The office is responsible to verify that these programs meet the University’s standards align with its strategic goals.

  • Staff Development

The office is responsible for the recruitment, development and evaluation of academic staff. It realizes this mission by fostering an environment that promotes staff continuous professional growth and academic excellence.

  • Quality Assurance and Curriculum Development

The academic affairs vice president office has the mandate to check the periodic academic program audits, evaluations, curriculum development, improving instruction and maintaining high academic standards.

  • Collaboration and Resource Management

  • Supervision and Evaluation

The office has the responsibility to supervise academic unit’s directors, Deans of Institutes, Colleges and Schools. It also has the mandate of evaluating and approving their recommendations for different activities.
