Wollega University will host its 2026 Mid-Year Graduation Ceremony for the 20^th graduating class (for the second round) on March 14, 2026. The university warmly welcomes the families, relatives, and guests of the graduating students to celebrate this important academic milestone in Nekemte (main campus). Wollega University is pleased to announce an upcoming International Research Conference scheduled for May 7–8, 2026. The conference will be held under the theme: “Hydropower, Nuclear Energy and Sea Access for Regional Development in the Horn of Africa: Experiences, Challenges and Opportunities.”

This international forum will bring together scholars, researchers, policymakers, and practitioners to critically examine the evolving role of energy development and maritime access in shaping regional development and cooperation in the Horn of Africa.
