The Association Elected University-level executive committee in a transparent, democratic way

Wallaga University successfully conducted its representatives' election, attended by the Vice President of the Ethiopian Universities Teachers Association (EUTA).

Commite1The event commenced with welcoming remarks from Dr. Melka, the Vice President of the University, who set a positive tone for the proceedings. Dr. Demelash Mengistu then delivered an opening address and introduced the agenda for the day.

Following these remarks, Dr. Demelash led the attendees through the election process, emphasizing the importance of a strong association at Wallaga University. He highlighted the potential for collaboration and mutual support among faculty members in the years to come, reinforcing the idea that a united front can significantly enhance the academic environment.

The election process involved nominations for department-level chairs, vice chairs, and secretaries, who subsequently competed for college-level committee positions.

Representatives from each department introduced themselves and convened as a college-level group to elect their committee members. Notably, those elected as chairpersons at the college level automatically gained membership in the university-level committee, ensuring a cohesive leadership structure.

The newly elected university-level executive committee members are as follows:

4. Mrs. Emebet Bobo (Deputy Secretary and Gender Affairs)
