Wollega University invites interested and qualified applicants to apply for the following vacant positions. Those who meet the requirements outlined below are encouraged to submit their applications within TEN (10) consecutive working days from the date of this notice.
Applicants are required to submit an application letter and curriculum vitae (CV) indicating previous academic administrative experience (if any), qualifications, and work experience, along with copies of academic credentials and other relevant supporting documents, in accordance with the following criteria:
Eligibility Criteria
1. Undergraduate Positions
- Age must be below 35 years.
- Minimum CGPA requirements:
- Male applicants: ≥ 3.25
- Female applicants: ≥3.00
- Double affirmative action beneficiaries: ≥ 2.50
2. Graduate Positions
- Age must be below 41 years.
- Male applicants:
- Graduate CGPA: ≥ 3.50
- First degree CGPA: ≥ 3.00
- Female applicants:
- Graduate CGPA: ≥ 3.35
- First degree CGPA: ≥ 2.75
- Applicants with disabilities:
- Graduate CGPA: ≥ 3.15
- First degree CGPA: > 2.50
- Double affirmative action beneficiaries:
- Graduate CGPA: ≥ 3.10
- First degree CGPA: ≥ 2.50
- Applicants for Lecturer positions must possess an MA/MSc degree with a thesis result of at least B+, Very Good, or an equivalent grade.
General Requirements
- Applicants must have earned their degrees from recognized higher education institutions.
- Copies of all academic credentials, including Grade Eight certificates, must be submitted to Human Resources Development & Administration Directorate Office (Nekemte-Administration Building, Office Number 115)
- Salary and benefits will be in accordance with the Higher Education Institution standards.
- No record of disciplinary action, or evidence of completion of any disciplinary sanction.
