Memorandum of Understanding Signed Between Wollega University and EagleEye Cybersecurity Solution

CyberMemorandum of Understanding (MoU) was formally signed today between Wollega University (WU). represented by Dr. Tesfaye Lemma (president) and EagleEye Cybersecurity Solutions, represented by Eng. Mulugeta Negero, facilitated by the Ethiopian Embassy in Ottawa, Canada. This strategic partnership marks a significant milestone in advancing cybersecurity education, research, and innovation, aligning with national priorities in supporting Ethiopia’s digital economy initiatives. 

Through signed MoU the partners will aimed to achieve goals in

* Short-term: Facilitating scientific collaboration through specialized training programs to enhance expertise in cybersecurity. 

* Mid-term: Developing comprehensive academic programs in cybersecurity to cultivate a skilled workforce. 

* Long-term: Establishing Wollega University as a premier center of excellence in cybersecurity, driving innovation and leadership in the field. 

Wollega University remains committed to fostering impactful partnerships with both national and international institutions, reinforcing its mission to contribute to technological advancement and socio-economic development. 

The University extends its deepest gratitude to the Ethiopian Embassy in Ottawa, particularly to His Excellency Ambassador Amin Abdulkadir and His Excellency Ambassador Theowdros Girma, for their instrumental role in facilitating this agreement. Special appreciation is also extended to Eng. Mulugeta Negero and the entire EagleEye Cybersecurity Solutions team for their collaboration and shared vision in strengthening Ethiopia’s cybersecurity landscape.
