Application team

The Application team plays a key role in the lifecycle management of the university's software applications and is responsible for designing and developing new applications, analyzing and improving existing applications, administering and supporting critical university applications.

Key Responsibilities:

Application Development:

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy new software applications and enhancements based on user requirements.
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards. 
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application defects and issues.

         Application Analysis:

  • Gather and analyze business requirements from stackholders.
  • Document functional and non-functional requirements for applications.
  • Create process flows, use cases, and other relevant documenmtaion.
  • Collaborate with developers and users to ensure applications meet business
  • Participate in testing and validation of applications.
  • Identify opportunities for application improvement and optimization.

Application Administration:

  • Install, configure, and maintain university software applications.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls within Monitor application performance and availiblity.
  • Perform regular application maintenance tasks, including patching and upgrades.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application-related

         General Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to end-users for application-related
  • Participate in application testing and quality assurance
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant technologies and best practicies.
