The Network Administrator is responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and support of the university's local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and wireless network infrastructure. This role ensures the stable and reliable operation of the network infrastructure, providing optimal performance and security for all users and services. The Network Administrator will also participate in network planning, implementation of security measures, and troubleshooting network issues.
Key Responsibilities:Network Infrastructure Management:
Network Security: o Implement and enforce network security policies and procedures. o Monitor network traffic for security threats and anomalies. o Participate in security audits and vulnerability assessments. Wireless Network Management: o Plan, deploy, and manage the university's wireless network infrastructure. o Configure and troubleshoot wireless access points and controllers. o Ensure optimal wireless coverage and performance across campus. o Implement and manage wireless security protocols. WAN and VPN service management o Performance Monitoring and Optimization. o Diagnosing and resolving WAN connectivity issues and working with ISP o Forecasting future bandwidth needs based on university growth and application requirements. |
