This office is mainly working on the construction of buildings (office buildings, lecture halls, seminar buildings, laboratory buildings and administration buildings) and infrastructure constructions (fresh water line development, sewerage lines development, roads constructions, light development and waste water treatment plants construction works). This office is supervising the design and detail structural works and bill of quantities estimation; follow up of tender processes and finally supervision of the actual construction works of each project in Nekemte, Shambu and Gimbi campuses.

Currently, in Nekemte campus, from eight old projects (administration building, auditorium building, dormitory blocks, seminary buildings, laboratory buildings, offices, and student clinic, and waste water treatment plant) over 95 % of the construction works and three new projects (student lounge buildings, staff lounge building and store building) over 30 % of the construction works were completed. At Shambu from four old projects (4 dormitory blocks, 1 seminary building, infrastructure, 1 green house building), over 65 % of the construction activities were completed while for newly started projects (4 dormitories, 1 staff lounge block, 1 administration building, 1 student lounge block) over 25 % of the construction works were completed. Similarly in Gimbi campus, from 3 old projects (4 dormitory blocks, 1 seminary block, and infrastructure) over 65 % of the construction works and for new projects (4 dormitory blocks, 1 student lounge block, 1 staff lounge block) over 25 % of the construction works were completed. Therefore, when all projects are finalized, Wollega University will carry out the teaching, learning, research and community services activities with full capacity.
