The officer shall have equal status and benefits with the dean of the college. The Executive officer will be appointed by the president; by assessing the employee’s competence through gathering information. The office bearer may be given a maximum of 6 teaching load.

        Qualification & Experience Requirements

  • Masters Degree and above in any discipline with the experience of at least 2   year in managerial positions.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skill and proven leadership ability and motivation.
  • An application of  information technology and communications
  • An understanding of national policies and international trends and issues that are directly or indirectly related to the activities of the unit.
  • Effective and strong team spirit and demonstrated competence in coordinating activities.
  • High commitment towards realization of the mission of the university.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the university’s working environment.
  • Knowledge and application of office management 
  • Proven experience in creating and enhancing a customer service culture within an organization

Duties and responsibilities

  • Making decisions in consultation with the president or referring requests, letters and other activities that are coming to the office of the president.
  • Assists the president on other University matters as assigned by the president.
  • Runs the activities of the President's Office in collaboration with the President.
  • Plan, organize and direct the routine office works in consultation with the president.
  • Put into practice the decisions and directives issued by the president of the university on any affairs pertinent to the office
  • Coordinates, evaluates, summaries all  plans and reports of the all offices, responsible to directly report to the office of the President
  • Coordinates and monitors the work load distribution of the whole staff in ensuring efficient and effective utilization of available human resources in collaboration with the two Vice Presidents.
  • Coordinates academic and non academic programs, and ceremonies in consultation with the President and collaboration with the responsible bodies.
  • undertakes other relevant office duties given by the president
  • Gathers, organizes, summarizes and reports to the President about statistical data on the critical variables pertinent to the students and staff profiles.

 Term of office:

  • The term of Executive officer shall be 3(three) and may be appointed for the additional 3 years.

Reporting:

  • The President office Directorate will be accountable to the president
