Vice Dean College of Agriculture

As the Vice Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture at Shambu Campus, I am honored to support our collective mission of delivering quality agricultural education, impactful research, and meaningful community service. The Faculty has built a solid foundation in training highly competent graduates equipped with both academic knowledge and practical skills essential for addressing Ethiopia’s agricultural challenges. Our five departments Animal Science, Fisheries and Aquatic Science, Food and Nutritional Science, Horticulture, and Plant Sciences continue to demonstrate excellence in offering specialized and hands-on learning tailored to the evolving needs of the agricultural sector.

In collaboration with faculty leadership, staff, students, and stakeholders, we are actively engaged in fostering innovation and promoting sustainable agricultural practices. Our emphasis on interdisciplinary research, technology transfer, and stakeholder-driven solutions ensures that the work we do has tangible impacts on rural communities, food systems, and the environment. We also strive to strengthen linkages with research institutions, government offices, and industry partners to ensure that our academic and research efforts align with national priorities and global standards.

Together, we remain committed to excellence, relevance, and service in all our endeavors empowering students and communities alike to shape a better agricultural future for Ethiopia.
