School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (SECE) is one of the largest and most dynamic academic units within the Wollega University, Institute of Technology (WU-IoT). The unit began as the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering in 2010, and due to its rapid growth in academic programs, staff capacity, and student population, it was officially upgraded to a School in 2023. Since its establishment, SECE has significantly contributed to producing skilled graduates who are currently serving in key sectors across the country. It has trained a significant number of Electrical and Computer Engineers in the country who are playing key roles in the various sectors of development in the country.
The school continues to enhance the academic reputation of Wollega University by promoting excellence in teaching, research, innovation, and community engagement. The school has been serving the country and also advanced the University’s reputation.
