Wollega University celebrates its 10th Anniversary with colors and achievements

Wollega University celebrated its 10th Anniversary on 20 May 2017 at its main campus in Nekemte town. Invited guests, community leaders, academic and administrative staff were attended the celebration. As part of celebration, cultural events and exhibition were organized along with an international symposium on science, technology and innovation. Dr.Eba Mijena, President Wollega University listed out the major achievements of Wollega University during last ten years and outlined its future plans.
A number of people who have contributed for the success of Wollega University have been recognized and rewarded during the celebrations. The successful dynamic journey of Wollega University towards being part of country’s developmental aspirations was recalled by a number of invited guests. During the celebration, it was recognized that Wollega University, in a short span of its existence is making a credible point that it is in the right direction to fulfill the needs of our country, particularly that of the surrounding community.
